Business Development Executive

Hours

Thirty five hours per week.   However, due to the nature of the role hours may vary in line with the needs of the business. Some nationwide travel will be required.

The Role

Drawing on your excellent knowledge and experience you will be required to support the automotive Business Development Managers in identifying new sales opportunities and developing strong relationships with clients and prospects so that Mondial is considered for, and successful in, new business proposals.

Main Duties
  • To understand the vision and strategic objectives of the Automotive Sales department 
  • To learn and maintain a detailed understanding of the broad and specific automotive service offerings in order to confidently discuss these across all business strata
  • To research across all media existing and potential clients’ businesses to understand their offering and identify business opportunities
  • To update organisational charts for each manufacturer listing all relevant departments and key decision makers, identify those areas which are or could be outsourced and any specific contractual information
  • To maintain the new business database ensuring all key details are kept up-to-date new information is captured and all conversations are logged.  This information will include business, marketing and personal/lifestyle details
  • To use this invaluable information to generate qualified appointments for the New Business Development Manager and on occasion to attend
  • To produce a monthly New Business ‘Pipe-line’ report for the Automotive Director
  • To support the New Business Development Managers in the creation of business proposals and presentations and on occasion to attend
  • To attend monthly sales meeting in order to impart/glean any new information which will assist in helping Mondial secure new automotive business
  • To support and administer a structured communication plan to keep clients informed of the latest marketing, technological, efficiencies which could help enhance their business
  • To inform the Mondial press agency (H.S.L) of relevant facts and information relating to the Automotive clients and/or competitors
General
  • To carry out any other additional duties as requested by your Manager from time to time within the scope of your role
  • To manage or assist with relevant ad-hoc projects as required by the New Business Development Managers
  • Complete all appropriate administration
    Provide relevant reports to the New Business Development Managers on a monthly basis

  • Previous sales or account management experience
  • Knowledge of the automotive or travel insurance industry
