Hours
Thirty-five hours per week on a variable shift basis. However, due to the nature of this role hours may vary in line with the needs of the business.
The Role
- Obtain verbal claims information accurately and effectively, taking and maintaining accurate records and inputting system data
- Communicate professionally with customers and third parties in a busy call centre environment
- Actively contribute to continual improvement of department
- Communicate policy terms and conditions clearly to customers
Main Duties
The amount of time spent performing your main duties in a typical working day will vary according to business needs but the role will predominantly be phone based:
- Communicate with customers and third parties verbally (telephone) in a clear, concise and professional way (a limited amount of letters and emails may be required to confirm details of verbal discussions). In accordance with Mondial Underwriting guidelines
- Handle any necessary administration duties relating to claims e.g. requesting and returning original documentation, assisting with allocating correspondence to claims
- Ensure that all relevant data is collated and entered onto the Claims Management System in a timely way, with a focus on accurate data entry & regular data cleansing
- Handle complaints / disputes in a positive way, in line with Quality Standards procedures and guidelines
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Sound basic knowledge of Outlook, Word & Excel
- Accurate and timely data entry skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Good verbal & written communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Numerate
- Good standard of general education
- English Language & Maths GCSE or equivalent
- Professional appearance in line with working within a corporate environment
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers and colleagues
- Flexible
- Target oriented
- Ability to meet goals and objectives in line with department SLA’s
- Diplomatic
- Ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure
Desirable Skills and Attributes
- Good worldwide geography knowledge
- Experience of working in a call centre
- Experience of working in a claims environment
- Experience of working in a travel or insurance environment
